  The shortness of memory of politicians on both sides of Ghana’s political divide is breathtaking. NDC deserves no sympathies for the thrashing defeat they have suffered at the polls, because in less than 10 years ago, in 2008, NPP tasted defeat at the polls, for the very same "political and governance sins" NDC “willingly” committed, i.e., ministerial arrogance, overt emptying of the nation’s till, nepotism, cronyism. It is hard to accept how NDC can bravely predict a “1 Touch” win in the face of mounting evidence of bad governance and a faltering economy. Any political party in Ghana that ignores the evidence that the electorates are becoming increasingly discerning and politically informed does that at a peril. Evidently, the political "World Bank" construct is also is steadily becoming a myth. The results of the elections show that the “World Bank” will not bail you out if you do not deliver good governance, well managed economy and fight corruption to the hilt. If the new NPP administration delivers good governance; resuscitate the comatose economy and aggressively fight corruption within the remit of the rule of law, I can bet with my bottom dollar that NDC will be in opposition for a very long time.
