I disagree Stanley. Manasseh was spot on in calling out Ghanaian hypocrisy. Those who decried the dig of Jon Benjamin can be likened to African-Americans who use the Nigger word widely amongst themselves but are quick to draw swords when a white uses the same word to reference them.
Just look at the speed at whichever Mahama is linaugurating or commissioning one project after the other with mere days left on his watch some of which are designed to bamboozle the incoming administration. A typical example is the sod cutting ceremony to start the Eastern university in Somanya. If it is not vain glory seeking what harm would it cause to leave that to the next president, knowing very well no serious work would commence until after January 7, 2017?
Since he is in the habit of inaugurating any twig or gutter, what is wrong in accrediting him with the Harmattan. You are worthy to be praised your excellency Onaapo.

I support Manasseh on every point he raised in his article. Unlike many confused Ghanaians who cannot tell right from wrong, Manasseh is cognitively adroit in feeling the pulse of the nation. He always get it right and should be commended. It is only the uninitiated who would have problems with his disposition, and there are many such elements in the country.

International relations are shrouded in diplomatic hypocrisy and political correctness. In their closet or behind the scenes, I believe no westerner respects us for one and only one overriding reason and that is the fact that we go to them for hand-out instead of hand-up. It is hand-out because we go and get it and misappropriate with the hope and view to go and get over and over again. If we appropriate the loans, grants and aids then that will amount to hand-up; it is then and only then that we would show clearly that we a serious people ready to turn our situation(s) around. How can we consider ourselves to be sovereign when our very survival as a nation hinges on the whims and caprices of western powers? I mean how? We should never fool ourselves that our so called development partners see us as co-equals; we should stop living in such falsehood! The only time we can walk with our heads held up high as far as international relation is concerned, is when we can boast of being economic powerhouse. Until then diplomats like Jon Benjamin will continue to ridicule our presidents! I love the British High Commissioner for that! At least, he doesn't hide it! He is not a hypocrite!

I don't know where Azure is getting his arrogance from? He could have adopted the style of Abugri but unfortunately he took to different style with so much arrogance but empty write ups. This unless frafra watchman son needs advice. I understand that those who dies at the market squire need no further announcement of their funeral but some times it may be fair to announce .In other word when a watchman crews his wife on school varanda and give birth to a child manasseh or azure. You do not expect any better behaviour other than that of an animal to prevail. Azure rather needs sympathy for he has no capacity to decide how his parent should behave properly to bring him out decently.

They complain a lot about corruption in the police service but don't think soli is a bribe. GJA should remove the speck in the media by setting example for others to follow. If journalist think the job is not lucrative they should Change their profession n bring dignity back to the media job. Even the humble Secretary survives on the meagre salary they get so guys stop being greedy. Kweku Baako, Kwami S Kayo and Sampson Ayeyeni should all wake up and shake up this soli issue because they do so well on newsfile. Veteran journalist Baako pls do something about this.

Thank you Stanley. A brilliant read as always. The hypocites who threaten brimstone and fire when anything is said against another party leader are the same supporting Azuri due to political expediency. Soon Mahama will be gone and another will takeover. Let's see how others react when the shoe is on the other foot. Azuri simply wants to belong, hence the constant display of buffoonery. The office of the President must remain sacred irrespective of who's is President and that's what people should understand.

So much hypocrisy. Not long ago, the likes of Dele Momodu and Osuofia were imported from Nigeria to remind Ghanaians of how "blind" we are for not recognizing Mahama's so called achievements. Whilst the suffering masses were pissed off, some of you came out in your numbers to support this NDC propaganda. Again it is these same NDC who are quick to spread damning reports on Akufo-Addo by phantom international organizations. For me I'm not bothered about the image of any corrupt politician. My only interest is whether Manasseh said the truth or not. But so far nobody has disputed any of the things he mentioned about President Mahama. And I think that should rather be a worry to some of you.

Our presidency cannot remain sacred when ppl think that the other party is always wrong.
For ove a decade we have been discussing whether the in-coming president had a cert before entering the law school in ghana. People have taken entrenched positions. Forget it that he is a reknowned lawyer, BUT the question is how did he get there? The main man has vener uttered a word, his friends and accomplices have been talking. Even when Justice Kpegah took it it court it was thrown out.
That is the hypocrisy of the ghanaian, so our presidency will never be sacred. Jon bejamin would never have called Obama a nigger if he worked as a diplomat in the USA

"Whilst the suffering masses were pissed off, some of you came out in your numbers to support this NDC propaganda.". That's generalisation because I for one consistently on Ghanaweb, spoke against foreigners like momodu and osuofia playing a part in Ghana's politics, but that's beside the point. That's consistency and not hypocrisy. You complain about Ghanaians spreading damning reports about Akuffo Addo (an opposition leader) and yet you think it's okay for foreigners to do same to a sitting President? Why compare apples and oranges in the first place? Too much inconsistency and hypocrisy in your logic. Like I said the shoe will be on the other foot soon; let's see how you react. If you can't handle Ghanaians talking about an opposition leader, I wonder how you'll react when he's President.

I don't get you Stanley. Manasseh has innumerated reasons to buttress why he thinks our current presidency lacks respect and all you can do is call them smokescreen? What you've succeeded in doing is a simple copy-paste of Manasseh's work, and inviting the public to ride with you on your rather "specious" journey to pull the wool over the eyes of the gullible. Benjamin is a departure from what we know about diplomats, he says it as it is. He gives us a glimpse into what they write home about us. In a way, we should rather be thankful to him for an insight into what has been going in diplomatic closed doors. We deserve every ounce of shit they throw at us if we cannot think for ourselves and do what is right.
