In this case, i trust it is not ethnic balance issue but rather has to do more and dangerously to the sensitive nature of the position especially with a senior brother on the other side who can walk into Sammy's house anytime, relax in the sitting room or stroll in and out of Sammy's study at will. Who can tell the level of influence John has on his junior brother Samuel Jinapor. No need for evidence of how they share insider info but the meer fact that it is possible is enough to make one take a second look. The Jinapor family including their father (Chief) deliberately took that strategy of having one family member on each side of the political divide..... TO WHAT EXTENT OR EFFECT?... ... help scratch my back and let me do same for you ? Samuel Jinapor can be given any other ministerial positon and NOT NOT NOT Deputy/Chief of Staff position. Way too sensitive with someone with many uncertain family background. Safety first please.

  It may well be the case, but just asking: Assuming Ibrahim Mahama was contesting against John Mahama on the ticket of the NPP would you have voted for him?
  
  People have a right to demand that there should be real and perceived difference between members of the outgoing regime and the incoming. He may be competent and perhaps deserves a reward but there are many agencies he could go and head.

  We must not forget he is appointed as a deputy under Madam Opare and if he is as bright and intelligent as the writer inferred then his apppontment must stand.
