  The plan looks great on paper but, as with all such things, the devil will be in the details. One of our greatest problems is project implementation - the journey from ideas to the transformation of those ideas into reality. Many tweaks will have to be made (for instance, is it really necessary that EVERY district should have a factory or what kind of setup will be described as a factory).
  
  There's no need to be pessimistic. We should hope that it will go well despite all the inherent ideological contradictions that can be, on face value, seen in the promise.

  There is inherent flaw in this proposition to start with. The first question that one must be asked is, why do vast majority of manufacturing facilities are located in the five largest urban areas, namely Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale? If you can answer this specific question, then you can come to terms with the flaws in one district one factory proposition.
  
  Factories are attracted to these urban centres because of cost factor. Is the government going to build infrastructure in the remote locations to house the factories - infrastructure such as electricity, water, housing, clinics, roads, etc? Just think of the cost, and would make economic sense to attract investors to such locations?
  
  I can tell you one thing; the cost of setting up these factories will be so prohibitive, investors would come but will pack up and leave in a year or two because the cost of running these factories will not be sustainable. This government did not think through the ramifications of this policy. Time will tell!!!

  Factories are not built in vaccum,you need basic things that are more important than this empty plan.To begin with,govt must solve the dumsor crisis and make electricity bills cheaper.At our present energy crisis there's no way that we can add 216 new heavy factories.I don't see how realistic this plan can be without facing the major challenge,the supply of constant power at a cheaper cost.No entrepreneur is interested in party's manifesto but the survival of his entreprise by making reasonable profit.Thank you.

  Very good idea and a huge vision however, Ghanaians have to change their attitude to let anything work for them. Firstly, corruption has to be wiped out. Secondly, the idea that it belongs to the government but not mine has to stop. Thirdly, right people have to take control regardless of their party affiliation. And lastly, the stupid sabotage ideas must stop to.allow things to happen.

Is better than the government taking complete charge, which definitely increases corruption and only making the private sector employees rather than part owners. Nana u do all.
