  I lived in Tarkwa 1979-1982 and there was exactly the opposite situation. In the "Sleeper" train, foodstuffs abound and were being transported. These tomatoes and others would be falling on you. Awaso Bauxite carriers have special recognition when they passed by. Long coaches carrying only mineral ore! They made good noises and we always enjoyed the sound that the fast speed made.
  
  I do not believe sincerely that "IN 1990s, ANYBODY WHO TRAVELED TO AWASO VIS SLEEPER TRAIN will come out here to confirm your claims.

  Lets be brutally honest, the one district one industry, one city one dam idea and promises are dumb ideas. Since when did one shoe fits all become the greatest idea since independence in Ghana? There is this ideal called sustainability that seems to be lost in the Ghanaian ideal. What industry do these planners think will sustain the people of the Mfantsiman community? Is it going to support fishing or farming or both? What industry do we know that is going to support farming communities? Is it exports? The only thing Ghana's government can do for every community in Ghana is a return to public transport system of the late 1960's through early 70's. If there is reliable on time and on-schedule public transportation system all across Ghana farmers, fishermen and every citizen without personal cars could participate in the Ghana economic activities to its maximum bringing good and services to markets at minimal transportation cost. Additionally a reliable public transportation system will reduce carbon monoxide and dioxide foot print thereby reducing pollution from all those "tro tro" vehicles that are mostly unfit to carry pigs in civilized nations but for which have become a must go to transportation in Ghana.
  Is the one town one dam idea supposed to provide power or pipe borne water supply system to towns? Does power supply or water supply systems not need infrastructure that will distribute either the power or water to the people? As usual some ignorant politician thinks a damn to provide water is good enough even if the people have to go to the water and not the water coming to homes or the power coming to homes.

The oil exploration was a hoax to the ndc but they benefited,the NHIS was a hoax to the ndc but they benefited to the extent they used the registration machine to register people from Togo and Burkina Faso to come to Ghana and vote for the ndc. Ndc never liked anything good for Ghana,that party just hate Ghana as a country and I don't understand why they still live in the country they hate and talking, why can't they denounce Ghana and leave her alone? I don't blame them since majority of those who call themselves ndc are settlers from the ECOWAS nations so have no sympathy whatsoever for Ghana. Can this happen in Nigeria or any Francophone country in Africa ? NO! so why Ghana?
