Ghanaians are fed up with NDC looting and stealing. NDC won't look beyond slick John, for they have no one credible to contest. They are all theives and looters, and Ghanaians are aware of their nefarious and cladestine activities. NDC government borrowed money from IMF and they hid $250million in a Nigerian bank without the approval of parliament. When they are caught slick John and Tepkor had so many intangible reasons to Ghanaians. For every thief knows that nobody is smart like him.

Your posting, Mr. K. Badu, is the final straw that exposes you as a dangerous hypocrite lacking in intellectual reasoning even if you are a tribal and party demagogue. There has not been an administration in Ghana where bad behavior by executive level appointees is caused by the president; those bad apples come care of Ghana’s culture of enabling evil acts just as long as the perpetrator is from a preferred tribe.
Why would anyone with dignity, principles, foresight, integrity and moral decency become evil without a care for the people they represent at local government level because the president in evil/unwise? In the UK where you, Mr. K. Badu take shelter, it is not everyone in the liberal or conservative party that goes rogue because of their party’s corrupt prime minister. The late Margaret Thatcher did not make her cabinet “iron” men in her image neither did prime minister that came after her. And if you accept that to be the case in UK why then do you attribute foolishness that entrapped most Mahama administration folks to Mahama the president? Is it not in the Ghanaian psyche that when someone from a community became a government official with all the trappings of unchecked power every up and coming teen from the community come knocking after graduation to seek assistance with employment?
Did all the thievery that went down during the Kufuor era including the in-your-face thievery with Ghana@50 come because of Kufuor’s management style and character traits? And if Kufuor was the demi-god you and other minions make him out to be then why did the NPP not win the 2008 election to continue the NPP good governance?

What about the massive and unprecedented investment in our infrastructure? The roads, schools, universities, hospitals, bridges, airports, harbours, solar street lights, buses for STC, Metro Mass transit and Accra Bus Rapid Transit, railways, water works, dams, factories, flyovers and interchanges, boreholes and electrification projects all over the country? Whatabout the aeroplanes for the Ghana Airforce, Ambulances for the Ambulance service, fire engines for the Ghana Fire Service, vessels for the Marine Police to patrol our offshore oil and gas installations, the thermal plants, gas pipelines, Atuabo gas processing plant, new boats for Volta Lake transport, free exercise books, footwear, uniforms and laptops for school children, over 500 buses for educational institutions - need we go on?

We are really blessed as a country with such incompetence in leadership!

The primary reason was the austerity measures imposed by the IMF and World Bank under the adjustment programme by way of high taxes on utilities, petroleum, withdrawal of nursing and teacher training grants. This was a protest vote by the electorate against austerity.
