First of all, Akufo Addo should ask all the ministers who received the Gc3,000.00 to turn in the monies to investigative authorities, if true.
READ: "...If MPs are to be paid for doing their official duties, is that money paid by the parliament’s accounting staff, who take records of the payment and receipts or the money is given to the MPs to share to their colleagues as it is being alleged here? ...It will be unfortunate to brand Mahama Ayariga as a liar and leave the matter to rest. We should get to the bottom of this case and if Mahama Ayariga, indeed, (MERELY) lied (IN Parliament, AND NO MONIES WERE EVER TRANSFERRED) then parliament should punish him/AYARIGA accordingly.
Peace!

"Common sense appraisal of what happened yesterday makes it difficult to believe what Mahama Ayariga is alleging, but it will be fatal to dismiss it and move on". I thought we usually set out to investigate a phenomenon (in this case alleged bribery) if we have cause to believe that the phenomenon exists. If common sense appraisal of the whole saga is difficult to believe as you noted, why waste precious time and resources to carry out investigation. You may educate me if your "common sense" is not common to some of us.

Manaseh is not being objective. Every single Ghanaian that has ever had any business done in parliament knows that this story is not far fetched at all. Both minority and majority work in tandem when it comes to matters like this. They only disagree when there is no money to be made as collective or someone suspects there has been an under declaration of the funds. What has motivated Ayarga to do a public disclosure will be clearer as the story evolves. These corrupt practises in parliament happens all the time.
