This writer hit the nail right in the head,as per the NSS law one is not suppose to be employed if you didn't serve no matter what contributed to that and whatever you became.I think that the law should've rather prevented one from entering the university rather than preventing people from being employed,re we saying assuming Dr Frinpong Boateng did not do national service but left this country and now a specialist Dr as he has become,he should not be employ to train others doctors as he has done providing services to even west African countries and not Ghana alone?,can you qualify the amount of taxes he has contributed to our economy?same can be ask about all others who fail to do national service but pay taxes and contribute more to our development than those who did and remained where they re or never got employment from the state?.I think it's the law courts who can give meaning to this arm of the law that's allowing people like Akandoh and the Ashaiman mp to run to court just to vilify an a political opponent they feel made unpalatable remarks of a former president John Dramani Mahama.Nss for me should not be forced on any citizen,as it were now you found personnel posted to places they re not needed and they end up staying home and receiving free allowance for doing absolutely nothing.

I taught in a village during my six form service ,was beneficial to the community n I also benefited bcos I met my wife while we were all rendering our service.
Please if national service is a waste of time to u,don't generalize it or else it becomes fallacy of hasty generalization.Come out with empirical evidence.
People can be pardoned in the interest of they serving the nation in another capacity but note that it will be criticized.Be magnanimous by pleading on the conscience of all to forgive. That is a better way of moving the nation forward than clouding your conscience with selfish ambition.U can do better in your analysis next time .
