  Ghana gas is probably not owned by the Nzema tribal chiefs BUT the oil field as such is owned by the people of Nzema, right! So why can't their own be the minister?

  Before the discovery of oil cocoa and gold had been sustaining the economy and all manner of people had been appointed as CEO of COCOBOARD and ANGLOGOLD without complaints from any of the chiefs from the places where these companies are sited.The nzema chiefs should be educated to know that the nation Ghana comes first and that if Ghana had gone federal and each was to use his resources to develop, they would have suffered because copra wouldn't have sustained them.The site of our oil rigs now is on international boundary that is why ivory coast is contesting certain portions but,not the tribe closest to their area.It is corporate Ghana and ivory coast are at the arbitration in Germany to resolve the boundary dispute but not the nzema chiefs and the taxes and professionals of corporate Ghana are being deployed but not people of nzema origin or monies from nzema land.International boundaries are not coastal boundaries which the chiefs can claim to be theirs.Let us eschew this tribal nonsense and lift up corporate Ghana, competence,ability, knowhow, ability and professionalism is of the essence and these talents could come from any part of Ghana.

  Nigeria as a country is practising the federal system of democratic governance which means each state develops on its resources whilst the federal government funds and develops the bigger projects. Oil is a bigger project and no sensible investor would come invest in such a project with a state governor bypassing the federal head of state.The delta oil is an inland resource but not on the international waters like ours in Ghana and after developing it,by right the delta people are entitled to a certain amount of money yearly and also employment for those of its youths who have the skills because oilfields demand skillful workers. What has accounted for the Niger delta problems is the corruption in Nigeria's governance system, sharing the oil money amongst the elite to the detriment of the local communities and secondly, the lazy attitudes of the youths of the Niger delta region.THE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR OF THE YOUTHS IN THE NIGER DELTA CAN NEVER AND WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN GHANA BECAUSE OUR SECURITY FORCES ARE VERY ENLIGHTENED AND WOULD DEAL WITH SUCH MISCREANTS APPROPRIATELY. LET THE NZEMA CHIEFS FIGHT FOR SOME ROYALTY EVEN THOUGH THIS OIL DISCOVERY IS ON INTERNATIONAL WATERS, AND LET THEM AND THE PROFESSOR THEY ARE PUSHING HELP THE YOUTHS TO ACQUIRE THE NEEDED SKILLS IN THE OIL AND PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY SO THEY CAN BE EMPLOYED. THIS IS WHAT THEY SHOULD BE TELLING THEIR YOUTHS OTHERWISE THE HARD WORKING NORTHERNERS AND ACADEMICALLY ASTUTE VOLTARIANS WOULD SURELY BE THE OVERWHELMING WORKERS THERE WHILST THEY SQUALOR IN POVERTY.A WORD IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE WISE!!
