  When the funny Britishers travelled to the north. Anytime they were traveling with their load carriers, the natives while tilling their farms , normally rise up. Wave to the white man's entourage and greet them__ " ya frafra, frafra!" Based on this the rude senile- minded Britishers produced maps of the northern territories and put down " frafra". Instead of
  "Nankani' or 'Nankane' district. Their language is ' ' Gruni' or 'Grune'.
  
  The people of Navrongo district are called Kansena- Nankani (ne) and that of Bolga Zuarungu, Winkogo Bongo,Dual, Serigu,etc are the Nsnkani ( e) people.
  
  If you read the book written by Mr. V.N. Aboya, the first commissioner to the northern terrotorries and a native of the area, you will uncover the history of the whole northern territories.
  The title of the book is...." THE ASHANTI HINTERLAND AND " MORE ABOUT THE ASHANTI HINTERLAND.
  These two books were written by the said Mr. V.N. Aboya and later on stolen by the then journalist of the then British colonial masters__ R.S. Rattray who took the books written in the local language... Nankani. R.S. Rattray published the two volumes and put his name down as the author !!!

  TRANSLATED FROM ... from the Cornel University Library.
  
  The book was partially based on the work of the Basel Missionary Rev.
  J. G. Christaller who had comipled a list of 3000 Ashanti proverbs in 1897.
  
  Believe me I have NEVER come across a better book in TWI.
  
  I searched for the two books you mentioned but could not find them.

  Prof Nokoe is a dangerous autocratic. He acted as VC at UDS. He was a bully and under him UDS lists several court cases resulting in huge judgement debts.
