To describe a lecturer as having not achieved anything in life is like saying that nobody has achieved anything in life. Academia is the only profession that requires a PhD as the minimum qualification to start a career. In fact, no professional can be compared to a person who imparts knowledge, especially in the academia and even MPs and presidents are aware. Next time know how to take on okoampa without trying to bring down academia.

Yes, in Ghana the academia is very highly respected irrespective of their performance. In the West, we see things differently and ahoofe should know better than use his title to bully others. I'm specifically referring to him as an individual and not the whole body. We are all still learning and through different paths so let's just give each one respect and stop using our titles to bully others. I've met the likes of him and I will not tolerate it because I am of the same profession.
