We can't wait any longer to get the facility we have expanded and made more efficient to provide us with the energy we need and also put it to other scientific uses. My little fear is whether we have the diligence to deal with the hazards associated with nuclear power plants when we can not manage companies like the electricity company, water, cocoboard, railway system, NHIS, and the rest.

For example, the Chernobyl accident could have destroyed the whole of Eastern Europe but for the bravery of three of the workers at the plant, who are said to have put their lives on the line to save that situation from happening.
Nuclear in dangerous and we have to tread cautiously if we decide to take it any further from what we are doing now.

Haven't you noticed they no longer shout "property owning democracy"? Will a Danquah inspired ideology really dangle free SHS before the people and promise government building a factory in each district?
So don't expect NPP to pursue any major policy that PP had tried its hands on. So Busia may be against nuclear energy but Akufo can be for - if indeed, he said anything about that especially in their manifesto.

Following the examples and collaborating with managers of the city of Toronto's power providers in Canada would be a great, great idea. Ghana could have one of the most stable power systems in the world. I have lived in Canada for 25 year but can't remember ever experiencing any kind of any "Dum-sor" except on a major glitch that hit the entire North America's integrated Power System. It was fixed in lightening speed manner. Let's explore our nuclear power programs seriously and help make Ghana a shinning star of Africa and the world.
