  Did the guy give examples of useful subjects? It's difficult for us who have not seen the video to judge. May be he used the k and the pie figuratively.
  
  It is true that all subjects are useful to study but some are also more useful for a developing country like Ghana than others. There's the need to consciously promote certain fields. We need social scientists, literary experts, archivists, historian, pastors, etc but we seem to be producing too many of these and not sufficient of other experts.

  Dr Tia, I admire and respect you for being on point. Even if all the things we learn at school do not come useful, some among us may go on to become professors in universities and engineers, doctors, scientists at NASA or CSIR etc. Knowledge ennobles and enlightens the mind for you to be a better person. Ghanaians should not be short-sighted because we are in a globalised world and if we become parochial by localizing our education, we shall re,main isolated from the world and we shall become backward and globally uncompetitive. Only narrow-minded people call for narrow education goals. You have made my daynby teaching me a bit of science as I am a social scientist. Thank you very much.

At the end of the day, you who study very hard and gets accolades will be employed by someone who did not sit in the classroom with you, because he or she was thinking outside the classroom. It all boils down to money. That is why a footballer can build a fully equipped hospital and employ the Doctor Who learnt very hard in school to work for him. what does he care about knowing the parts of the human body and it's functions in health and disease. Common, let's be realistic wai.

  Really!? If it's all about the money then why doesn't the footballer take care of the patients after building the hospital. In your opinion entertainment from football is more valuable than human lives. May be you support sending $3m to Brazil but allowing patients to die when doctors go on strike. In Europe where those footballers make the money, their pay is not better than the doctors. Ignorance is the reason why we are so backward. If we take education seriously n develop, there ll b enough money here and it will not b necessary for the footballers to go to Europe where they are not even respected. Have you see what China is doing? And by the way how many of the footballers even get to that level

  Practicals and detailed explanation will suffice to understand some of these issues . Thanks!

  You are right , but what I want to say is, the doctor is talking as if he knows how the electricity really works ,has he even stimulated a 5 volts power generation in his laboratory before , does he even know how the generation he was bragging about works , all that he said came direct from his books , I bet you if I have my way the entire engineering faculties in various universities in the country would be scrapped, I can say none of those students knows anything about engineering, they can't even change their light bulbs , they are useless so is the doctor who is bragging here, I work with 7 engineers In our company , they are completely useless , they don't know anything yet the choose to call themselves engineers , and they will look down on repairers and mechanics on the road side , they have completely lost their minds , I don't blame them I blame the so called lecturers , we have a lot of professors in the country yet we import 95 % of our daily goods from other countries , we are dumb and the entire school system is a scam , respect to Apostle kwado Sarfo ....
