  Nkrumah laid out the road map for clearly us decades ago - by visionary thought and existentially-manifest transformational action. The 7-year development plan would have transformed Ghana into an economic power on par with, if not more advanced than, today's China. Under imperialist tutelage and subversion, the well-known collaborationist saboteurs vilified everything Nkrumah did and following the triumph of their counter-revolution of February 24th,1966, they abandoned and obstructed all the carefully and scientifically-planned projects of the Nkrumah plan. These liberating industrial plans were vilified as prestigious and white elephants at best and "communist" at worst.
  
  Today the heirs of the counter-revolution trumpet "One district, one factory". Really? What happened to Nkrumah's factories? Sabotaged by the Danquah-Busia idiocy and slave-mentality, destroyed and looted by the Rawlings-led wing of the same counter-revolution!!!

  THE NATION STILL CONTINUES WITH ITS COCOA BEANS AND RAW MATERAIALS EXPORT ECONOMY WHILE, THE SO CALLED EDUCATED WHO DO NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITES EVEN TO TURN THE WHEELS OF INDUSTRIALIZAZION AND EVEN TO PRODUCE CANDLE,PLUGS, TORCH LIGHT, PENCIL, SCREWS AND BOLTS USE THE FUNDS TO IMPORT HEAVY CARS AND JEEPS FOR THEIR GREEDY EASY LIFSTYLES IN THE COUNTRY.

  Your article raises some important points which I generally agree with.
  
  However, I think in your example of China, you forgot to highlight the role of education as key to attracting manufacturing firms. China was able to reverse-engineer and thus spur its own manufacturing industry because it had the personnel to be able to do so. So it's one thing to encourage a manufacturing sector; but without the additional components, notably human capital, manufacturing jobs will continue to bypass us.
