There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

The new Akuffo Addo administration did not seem to get this, the NDC had stockpiles of the Ghana cedis and were ready to change them to dollars and as a result the cedis was going to be battered severely and subsequently lose value, The situation has not bottomed down yet because they still have a chunk of the cedis at their possession and are ready to change them, it doesn't matter how much the rate will soar. My investigations revealed this just few days after the elections. But l was also in denial and never thought that impact was going be that much. As a matter of urgency the Bank of Ghana should come up with regulatory measures now.

Why will NPP run after you if you did the right thing. Ghana is 60 years now and let us take a look at the corruption barometer: Kwame Nkrumah ruled from 1957 to 1966 and laid the foundation for a brilliant and sustained education system. Even me all I have is MSLC 1970.
Enter Kotoka/Ankrah/ Afrifah 1966-1969, military policies and arresting Ghana from becoming a communist state.
Dr K.A. Busiah 1969-1972 devalued the Cedi and introduced rural water and road construction all across Ghana except Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and Eastern Regions. His focus was moving from less developed to semi developed.
Enter Colonel Acheampong 1972-1978 and the beginning of corruption on massive scale in Ghana. Then General Akuffo 1978-1979 and murdered by one Rawlings.

If you did good to the people why are you afraid?and did you think the special prosecutor is because of me? Ghanaians will never give you any more chance to misbehave again so the government is doing what will please the people but not what is good for the ndc. I'm glad you've seen the special prosecutor is meant for you. After 40 years if Ghanaians will ever give you a chance then you will learn sense that politics and governance is to serve the people but not to fill full your pockets because accountability awaits you.
