  Fufu pounding is good exercise but it puts off lazy people who because of the strenous exercise stop eating fufu. Perhaps Pastor Otabil was one of them(LOL). I see no problem with eating fufu. Chinese and Indians are proud of their culture and their foods. Let us preserve ours.

  The writer at a point displayed ignorance,Fufu is not Akan food,it is called Fufu in everywhere in Africa that it is a staple food.
  It is known same in Togo,,Benin,Nigeria,Cameroun and even up to the Congos and even in the Volta region it is only the Anlos and other Southerners who don't have Fufu as their staple food.
  In today's Ghana apart from the Fufu eating villages, Banku/Tilapia is becoming the best food especially among the elite, I wonder how many people patronize rice balls, rice balls is not commonly consumed in Ghana as compare to Banku and Fufu, not even close,most costal towns and villages throughout the country eat some kind of Banku, how many bars even cook rice balls for sale as compare to Banku and Fufu, Otabil might not like Fufu because of where he may have come from but he was not accurate on that,you cannot condemn food that others have been eating for generations without a problem,the one pounded in the mortar that he condemned is far better than the packaged ones that we buy abroad,some of us eat that because we don't have a choice, if we do we will not eat it,it is not true that the ponders drop their sweats in the food.
  
  What that man said was the most outrageous thing any normal person will say about people,in Ghana it is only when people say something nasty about politics that we make noise but what that man who should know better said is more serious than any outrageous thing any politician ever said,it was an insult to the tribes that patronize the Fufu,in the west you cannot say that about any race and get away with it,even if you don't like the food you have no right to go in public as a prominent person like he is to make such a stupid comment,it was a stupid comment which people should not take lightly and he should not be forgiven for saying that,all of us will die one day and he will not be the last to day,he may die before some Fufu eaters who are older than him, I wonder if he dies before Fufu eaters he will blame his death on the food he eats,he will not live forever, the guy needs to apologize for his stupidity.
