  Because the work is huge. We have been told that NDC destroyed the country so much that a lot of work is needed to set it right. Moreover the promises Akufo-Addo made are so numerous and huge that a lot of ministers are needed to be able to carry them out.
  
  Lastly, Akufo-Addo is old, sickly and tired. He needs a lot of ministers so he doesn't have to do too much.
  
  Even his prime minister, osarfo marfo, is also old (75) and tired.
  
  Ok, Bawumia is energetic but, you see, he's "only" a VeePee and a northerner. He shouldn't be made to shine too much. Not unless it's the dirty work...

  Sometimes i wonder why Ghanians always compare anything with UK or America.This countries are really civilized,educated and highly advance than our corrupt Ghana.So we have always cut our clothes to our own size,for me if the ministers are doing a great job that benefit all Ghanians i dont bother,but the question is how many of them do a great job.So there is no need for a lot of ministers,and am afraid as i love the NPP,i think the appointment are getting far,why should we have a Zongo minister?

  A coup is already in the making because greedy, tone -deaf, and selfish civilian parties have failed the country. At least military regimes in Ghana have proved they're more effective, efficient, and non-partisan. We'll welcome them even now!

  Private sector management is completely different from public sector management! Your article compares oranges with apples. As governments grow the law of diminishing returns takes effect. Too much of everything is bad! Additionally, apart from cost, appointing all these Parliamentarians weakens the parliament and separation of powers.
