The worst of it is the NDC 2016 teacher recruitment which sought to give jobs to NDC youth. If any doubts ma assertion that GES is a useless education egency in Ghana plss I'm ready to battle the person out. He have lot of UCC and Winneba education graduates out there without job yet GES gave appointments to graduates with no clue in teaching. We shdn't see teaching as something anybody can do. It is this attitude that is producing half baked graduates. I've ever taught in an SHS and so I know what I'm talking about. I was trained from ucc as a teacher but GES is sick so I left. 45% of teachers in shs are not qualified. They lack both content and pedagogical knowledge. How can a Ghanaian language teacher be a full time English tutor?. Yes language is language and we have areas of convergence but technically it doesn't make professional sense. How can one with degree in linguistics and philosophy teach literature in English and all aspects of the shs English subject. The college of education studies of UCC and UEW must sit up and serve as a satellite on GES. Most of the leaders of GES and the various teacher unions are aware of these rots yet the moment their palms are greased to tend to overlook. How can okudjeto organise exams for teachers from UCC and Winneba together with legon and other university graduates and at the end choose not to recruit the UCC and winneba graduates who were trained as teachers. Let's get serious in Ghana. What does the legon or knust guy knows abt assessment, history and management of education, educational psychology, methods of teaching, selection of instructional resources, special education etc. I still maintain the GES and it's ministry of education are useless. They had better not been there. Long live mother Ghana.

Pls don't forget to add the District and Regional Directors. Nobody supervises them. Only chop chop..... and arm -chair reports. They're the main obstacles in the implementation of any Educational Policy. Over to you Minister ...
