  Don't forget to also look into the case of the 1,340 Ex-soldiers who are in court with the Armed Forces over illegal gratuity deductions. Sampson Oje was even boasting of how the ex-servicemen cannot win the case with him at the helm of affairs, and eventually paid one of the lawyers to pull out of the case, hence leaving the poor ex-servicemen to their fate.

  I work with UNMIL in Liberia, and I was shocked to see that all the soldiers from Ghana had to pay to be posted there. As a UN procurement officer I also noticed that the Ghanaian officers are perpetually shot changing the soldiers on every corner, from meals to boot and uniform allowances. They're so corrupt and so petty, it's a shame. Never seen such heartless greediness in my life.

  This issue must be properly investigated and the officers if found culpable should be punished by removing the them from the service and a proper reshuffle of the various commands.
  This reminds me of similar incidence during the PNDC regime. My father who was at Recce regiment at 2nd Recce Sunyani suffered a similar fate until he raced this concern at a durbar with J.J. Rawlings in attendance. The issue was addressed immediately after the durbar and list was made and posted on part1 orders. Eventually every soldier at 2nd Recce at the time knew when he would be going to peace keeping. This practice must be emulated to stop the extortion of $2000 and $3000. Corrupt NDC everywhere why?

Why do you have to swindle money from your own men and women under arms to transfer them outside on UN missions which can in some cases be even considered as dangerous? Shame to all these greedy Military Officers who must be brought to book and get them to vomit this ill-gotten moneys!

  In which Army will a civilian inform a soldier to come for peace keeping ticket. Why have the Army been made like a market where money exchange is done.
  The core values are broken by the top commanders and they turn to blame the lower rank.
  the worst indiscipline group is the officer core .
  The minister should seek clarity from the OR and not the so called officers.
  The food eaten at operational areas are as bad as food from the dustbin. food, fuel and other maintainance grant are stolen by the COs, and other key appointment holders.
  This article should reach the minister and he should donhis personal checks and not rely on the advice of the Generals.
  iwe have so many Generals and no work to do just sharing of money and stealing.
  In US and UK, u see the generals at war and even driving their own cars, here, they sit and eat patsaaaaaa, and grow fat.
  This must stop.
  the ORs should also resist such operational offers and no one can charge them

  The ubiquitous nature of this selling and buying of peacekeeping ticket's is something that has become a rot in the Ghanaian military.
  Similarly, the issue of rank and promex by officers have become who you know or the Ladies must suffer for it thorough sex.
  why is this happening.
  The various positions in the Army is a place to enrich oneself and their families.
  The issue of the Armed forces volume does not affect the officer core but rather only the OR. this can be equated to the ICC which is viewed at targeting the African race.
  The CDS and COAS are aware, they have in fact done similar things in the past as having been beneficiaries of or been the actors of selling these ticket's.
  The minister must ensure discipline in all ranks and in all operations.
  The sweet words from the generals and the unnecessary quarter guards may distort the minister.
  In peace keeping for instance, Ghanaian troops look miserable as if they are refugee's.
  food that has been supplied by UN are kept, soled and monies pocketed by the food officers and COs in the name of washing hands back home to the detriment of all ranks .
  While other nationals enjoy, our troops suffer and look rejected. any complain may lead to attempted charge or trial without any reason cos they are the holders of the law.
  Milops and staff officers ticket's are also sold or females must open up for sex before such operations are given.
  why this nonsense. Ate these generals and Col the one's paying such dorllas. The EU and other countries after having donated to UN , our black Commanders see an avenue to make money. What a greed.
  Issues of promex and other benefits are also traded for.
  Vehicles are not working, unnecessary duties are been purchased by COs for troops where they make money. An example is 48 Eng where they have allocated soldiers to guard COIL fuel station opposite soul clinic and one at Labadi beach. The company pairs 3,000 GH a month , so where does the money go, to troops or CO.
  The answer is to the CO and not troops.
  Another example is where troops are sent to do unlawful duties such as painting of private homes of officers, construction of their homes and hotels, sending their wards to school, washing, just to name a few . failure to do these may land a competent soldier in the wrong books of the CO or officer , but the soldier has done no wrong.
  the fear of charger must be addressed and all OR should read the volumes and get the understanding of lawful. and unlawful command.
  So the issues are many and is a canker in the military.
  female soldiers are at risk day in day out due to sexual exploitation by male officers, such nonsense.
  Postings to other training grounds without the permission of attaining pass to see relatives is another issues cos some commanders and their deputies have decided not to grant such wish.
  protective material for training are not available and individual soldiers are affected.
  lastly, some civilian employees at MOD are holders of such protocol operations and they sell to soldiers, so the question is who Gave them the ticket and why should such a person have the list.
