The US is not in the European Union. I guess you meant the U.K. Even then the brexit minister will see over (supervise?) the exit of the U.K. from the EU. It's not like he's supposed to make sure it happens which the word "ensure" will suggest.

I guess as a student you need to cross-check your facts before posting your views openly. Just note that the US is not art of the EU and neither has it appointed a Minister for Brexit. Perhaps you may be referring to U.K.

I agree with you. The writer did a good job by pulling all the arguments together in a very simplified way.
Referring to UK as US is pardonable and does not change the import of his writing.
