Computerization of government function is abound in this 21st Century. Technology has been developed to reduce human labor and time. The problem we have in third world countries such as ours is the proficiency of the knowledge in the computer. I am not sure how proficient His Excellency himself, knowing to be coming from the old school; too much in techs application may hamper, rather than facilitate governmental machinery.

Digital technology is the best solution to the problems President Nana Akuffo Addo intends to solve but the procurement and installation is not a one touch solution. The President is very much aware of the teething problems. In the interval between planning, procurement, installation and the training of personnel on their usage who is going to do the job that needs to be done? The President is trying to protect the public purse and he believes he needs to start with a huge government so each appointee will be his brother's keeper; you watch my back I watch yours. There's wisdom in what Nana is doing but that's not the final solution. This elephant government is just an interim fix or a stop gap measure. Very soon no one will have to handle physical cash in government business and contracts will no longer be sole sourced. Sooner than later Nana will install CCTV cameras in every place of government business. Just be patient because the President knows what he's doing. The National Identification program will soon become a living reality and Parliament will soon pass the Right To Information Bill into law to usher in an era of transparency and accountability. The Time Clock system will be introduced in all places of government business to boost productivity and create fairness to both the employer and the employee. The toll booths will be manned by surveillance cameras and no more money will be lost to the State. Just give Nana the benefit of the doubt. Just wait and see.

A government on a limited budget does not duplicate minitries and hire more people to do the same job. It defies logic, and IT'S SIMPLY UNJUSTIFIABLE

If akufo addo want to give jobs to his friends and favourites , why not give them the ambassadorial and high commissioners positions in various countries over the world instead of these110 ministers? Too much.

Grant it tech is way forward,but we are not there yet. We must fisrt learn to walk before we learn to run. How many real Data Centers or Main Frames do we currently have in all of Ghana to process our country wide data?
Nana Akufo-Addo must be allowed to implement his plan and what we must do is pray for him to succeed as well as support him. He has four years and I trust the NPP will leave Ghana better than the 122 billion cedis debt we current have hanging on our necks weighing us down.
