These are not the only reasons the Ashantis are successful. Some of the other reasons are :1 they are the ones who like and indulge in money rituals (occultism) more than any other ethnicity in Ghana, of course, since they will do anything to be successful. 2 outside Ghana they are also the ones who like all the dirty jobs. For example, it is mostly (if not only) Ashantis who bring their wives and engage them in prostitution here in Europe, all because of money. They are also mainly the ones who like care home jobs. For those of you who don't know what care home jobs entail, it involves looking after disabled and very old people - bathing those that cannot bath themselves, changing the pads of those who use pads because they cannot answer nature's call naturally, etc etc.

The last time I checked on Kumasi the, kingdom's capital, people did defecate in open places, most people continued to use trotro as preferred mode of travel, people continued to live without continued supply of electricity or indoor plumbing and running water while outhouses served as bathrooms for most of the rich Ashantis you brag about. The roads are no better than else where in Ghana and best of all there is crime that is driven by poverty and not riches. You can and may even pretend that the poor in the Ashanti region are not Ashantis if you're that dumb. A person who does not own a car, a home and a pot to piss in is bound to think someone with a house and a car is rich. I will end by saying this to you and other morons of the tribal persuasion that if and when any one region, district and or town/city in Ghana gets to a point where there are street lights, indoor plumbing in 80 percent of the homes, there is continued supply of electricity, paved street, civilized and well equipped police/security forces, and a city council or administration that provide adequate funds for emergency responders to answer to emergencies in vehicles and not on foot and well defined city/town drainage systems I will be the first to call them rich. Calling Ashantis rich while your own educated elite class cannot practice medicine and or their craft but have to become politicians where stealing from the nation is the only game in town can only come from dumb ass Ghanaians with water on the brain.

Once upon a time, long, long ago, when they were going on about it on Okyeame, I remarked that I had just returned extensively in parts of the Ash/R and what I saw didn't indicate that the people there were reeking with wealth. Travelling to Jacobu was like travelling to the end of the world. I spent days at Nyinahin too and travelled down to the W/R town of Bibiani too. I mentioned that I saw people living in houses Anloga shallot farmers have better houses to dry their shallot in.

This is all bollocks. The writer should have also written about how the Asantes of old accumulated wealth by plundering and enslaving others now considered poor to sell as slaves until this was stopped by the British.

There is no tribe called kwahu. Most of kwahu people are Ashantis who settled at that place during civil war. Kwahu means go and die. I know for a fact that Oboo people have their root from kuntenase in the Ashanti region.
