  Stormy weather caused the huge trees to come crashing down killing Wenchhi Methodist stdents on a visit to the Kintampo waterfall on their Easterbreak. Could the Ghana Meteorological Service have alerted people of the likelihood of severe weather in the region?
  
  Does Ghana have a meteorological service capable of forecasting the weather?
  
  Our 3rd world status, unfortunately, tragically revealed that we don't have the necessary technology to forecast incoming severe weather.
  
  Blaming politicians, phony pastors & ignorant chiefs won't prevent the next tragic event from happening somewhere in Ghana.
  Let's stop the blame game & be ready for the next tragedy. It is on the way coming.

  Michael Fish: 'no one to blame' for Great Storm blunder
  Michael Fish has said no one was to blame for failing to predict the Great Storm of 1987 and warned that the error could happen again.
  
  Exactly 25 years after casually dismissing worries a hurricane was brewing, the forecaster said he has been irked by constant screenings of the clip and claimed "I certainly wasn't to blame".
  Last year, fellow weatherman Bill Giles came forward to accept his share of responsibility. Speaking about Mr Fish, he said: "He's always blamed me and to a certain extent rightly so. We got it wrong, there's no mistake about it."
  But Mr Fish refused to accept the admission of guilt, and even made excuses for the technology of the era.
  He told BBC News: "I certainly wasn't to blame because I didn't do the forecasts. Bill did the forecasts but you can't blame him either.
  "The computer of course was the thing that did the forecasts but you can't blame that either because it was unfortunate that the computer lacked a huge amount of data from the area that the storm was developing."

  In a broadcast on October 15 1987, Mr Fish told viewers: "Earlier on today, a woman rang the BBC and said she'd heard that there was a hurricane on the way. Well if you're watching, don't worry - there isn't."
  The worst storm to hit south-east England since 1703 followed the forecast, which has since become notorious and was even featured in the Olympics Opening Ceremony.
  But Mr Fish refused to rule out a repeat of the disaster, even with modern forecasting technology.
  "I would like to think no, but the weather is very fickle and very unpredictable, even in this day and age," he said. "It could happen. The chances of it happening are far more remote than it happening 25 years ago but you can never say no in the weather business."

  Folks,pictures don't lie.What did you folks notices in the picture?so with all the millions of cedis if not billions of cedis from the beginning of the fourth republic the assembly don't have even common chain saw to cut trees?Folks the picture shows a man using cutlass to cut trees.This shows that even apes are intelligent than Ghanaians with masters degrees and professors.I can't believe that Ghanaians thinks they are wise but all born extremely fools.
