  Why did you conveniently leave out the negative sides of think tanks?
  
  You create the impression that think tanks are know-all institutions that always get the right answers. But they do not always get the right answers. As a matter fact they rarely ever get the right answers - especially the ones in Ghana.
  
  The proliferation of think tanks in Ghana of late has often resulted in one man think tanks whose driving purposes are to make money for the owners. They spend a lot of time and energy soliciting for funds instead of doing proper research. Even when they get the funds, they are incapable of doing research because they just don't know how to go about such things.
  
  There's an over concentration of think tanks in the "easy" areas of governance, democracy building or some such things. Most of the think tanks in Ghana are incapable of doing proper economic research for proper analysis. When it becomes a bit technical, Ghanaian think tanks are not better than the man on the street. As for analyses of knotty natural science controversies, only one or two Ghanaian think tanks can rise up to the test.
  
  On many other issues, the views of think tanks are just one of many views - not better nor necessarily worse.
  
  So therefore, as we listen to the voices of think tanks, we must be ready to be critical of what they say.
