According to a story on Ghanaweb, "The Eastern regional Secretary of Ghana Journalists Association, Maxwell Kudekor, entreated the Universities in Ghana to collaborate with the media to find solutions to national problems through researches.
He appealed to KTU to offer scholarship opportunities to Journalists to be train[ed] in various academic disciplines, especially Engineering, Environment and Technology to build capacity of journalists to help communicate effectively in these fields to support the industrial drive of the country."
It is time Ghanaian go back to learn from the British and Nigerians when it comes to journalism and this exonerates JB Dankwa's assertion that Ghana was not ripe for independence. Look, in Nigeria journalism is offered for only one year and you cannot use WASSCE Cert to enter their school of Journalism. Their entry requirement is a university degree, HND, Army School Cert, Police College Cert, Charted accountancy Cert, etc, and so by the time an individual completes the one year programme they already have their academic or professional background to work with. This diversifies the field of journalism and brings everybody on board. You see, Ghana is so backward in everything. Thanks to our useless university education that seeks to suppress polytechnic graduates at all cost.

Although I am proud to say that I am one of those who voted to get John Mahama out,I must be realistic to admit that it takes only a chain reaction of events like the trend this NPP government is following to get the NDC or another party back to power. In politics never say never.I dare make this projection for 2020.1) should NPP continue the blunders the NDC made while they were in power and 2)should the NDC elect a creditable candidate like prof.Joshua Alabi to lead them and 3)should the NDC sideline all their discredited bigwigs and allow clean people to be the image of the party and 4) provide alternative programs that apeal to Ghanian voters,they can come back to power as has happened all overy the world .already NPP has started on the wrong foot.no desire to curb their vigilante groups.the continued depreciation of the CedI. These nonsensical acts of these vigilante groups would never happen under Kufuor. As for the economy, I have absolute confidence in the competence of the NPP. But the management of the economy will not be enough to win them elections if they don't stop their militant groups. Nana Akufo-Addo has always been a slow learner in our modern politics and the sooner somebody advice him the better for him and the NPP.

Four years is a pretty short time however a lot will happen between now & then.

The myriad of promises which are already being turned downside up are certainly not going to be the sure anchor for the Npp's re-election.
