Medically it sounds right and gathering the piecies together and as a medical practitioner myself,the writer's explanation is medically acceptable than the throat cancer because with terminal face of any cancer, the patient must be morbid(bed ladden) and will take several days or weeks before he will die. From steve jobs,to my own mom,and a lot of presidents who die from cancer are bed ridden first. That of Ata Mills was an Acute attack taking his life away as a president, he should have got medical teams around him and helping him as he was not fit. The NDC team knew what they were doing. Even the medical council came out and asked for the autopsy report but none of us got it.He should have been cared for properly(palliative care) and i'm sure he would have died in the hands of his family and loved ones if the cancer would have been the cause of his death. God will punish those who let the poor gentle man to suffer to his death without the right medical intervention just for transcient political gain.

The impression is being created that he was such a weekling who could not decide anything for himself and was at the mercy of his handlers who were tossing him here and there and were not able to take good care of him.

What prevented Mills himself from categorically saying that he was not healthy enough to stand for a second term god damn all those whose political positions depended on his continuing stay in power?

According to this report if he was advised to leave politics and concentrate on his health and he said no, why blame others? Was he forced to say no?

Every leader has teams of advisers but in every case, the final decision as to what he does is the leader's. It can be a lonely decision after all the advice but the leader must take the right decision. Apparently Mills didn't take the right decision at the time. Was he enjoying the power the presidency gave him so much that he was not able to take a decision to forego that power?

Akufo-Addo does not look all that healthy himself. Nobody wishes him anything bad but should he find himself in a similar situation, will he be bold enough to take the right decision that will keep him alive at the expense of his loss of power?

Papa Appiah cleverly forgets to mention Mills' trips to T. B. Joshua or the known fact that Mills was a smoker and that smoking can cause cancer or the revelation, according to Murderer Rawlings, that Mills began treatment in South Africa in the early 90s not just 2005. Appiah also conveniently does not mention that no autopsy has been realeased on the President's death as the Ghanaian people are entitled to.
