If the committee's investigations were properly done sans partisan influence, then I believe Ayariga should be given a harsher sentence than the slap on the wrist apology being demanded of him.

A few things - you did not quote the source of your claims of Ayariga in the 3rd paragraph-- you know better than to state a source without evidence; and your paragraph on sitting allowances is too short and abrupt. How much is the sitting allowance? What is the correlation between that and the scandal? A deeper analysis is needed.

In any case he raised valid points of law on the floor of parliament and no court or parliament can meet out any punishment to him. Is it true that they were given money? The answer is yes. Why did the Ghartey Committee not allow witnesses to be cross examined? The answer is because they did not like the truth and were bias at birth. To all well meaning Ghanaians Ayariga is telling the truth. The NDC must rather change Muntaka from his role.
