  Analysis was not factual. References made should have been quoted in detail for the readers to refer. I took my time to read the entire article but at the end i realised it was not worth reading. I strongly and firmly debunk the assertion of the western word imposing Christian belief on us. I have been around the world and can confirm that the west are more dedicated in worshipping God compare to African. The writers continual usage of god instead of God defeated the purpose of which the article was meant to trick and confuse the masses. Notwithstanding, i would the writer also think about the readers time and write something more beneficial next time. Christians, will not be perturbed by this rubbish but will stand firm and defend the kingdom of Jesus Christ. In conclusion, i will recommend all the readers remember the writer in prayers.

  We expect nothing less than what we have. In Ghana for example , there are many professors who are reverend fathers as well. Therefore if highly educated people subscribe to bread and butter religion , the ordinary people have no choice. That is why God's business is thriving. If atheists can come up with a better alternative, they will get followers , not just abstract arguments.

  Unfortunately, the atheism project has a much more difficult job to do - both in the third and advanced worlds. This is simply because atheism cannot use the same methods as foreign and local religions - the promise of a worldly reward. Traditional religions not only provide worldly material benefits, they also lay claims to the beyond and promise things there too.
  
  Atheism cannot match that because of its insistence on rational thought.
  
  But I think the future belongs to atheism as human kind becomes more and more aware of how things really are - more aware that there is really no life after death, and that there is no divine being whose desires and wants we can only speculate about but claim we know into detail.
  
  That time will be long in coming - but it will come. Not in our life time, but it will come. The world is still young...

  I suggest you preach and progagate atheism in Africa. just focus on science and technology and humanity. Nature is so perfect that it needs no defense. all that nature needs is hard core prove of evidence through exploration and research and one needs not be an atheist or theist to do that though atheists are front runners in that regard.
  
  My only problem with the African is got to do with our inability to different religion from spirituality. whilst spirituality is human's internal struggle to discover nature and the unknown parts of the universe using deep thinking and high level intelligence as well as experimentation and analysis of findings , religion is a man made politico-cultural and economic tool that institutionalises a system of god can not defend itself and must be defen

  I suggest you DON'T preach and progagate atheism in Africa. just focus on science, technology, common sense and humanity.   It's clear the only thing humans need are nature plus the human qualities and capacity . Human doesnt need God or gods, it's the God and gods that need human to manifest and prove itself existential or be defended in order to exist.. Christians and Muslims can prove me wrong by stopping to defend their God and Allah or just abandon them and see if they(allah and god ) will exist.
  
  Morality and humanity are part of human qualities and in modern society state laws are enacted with morality and humanity in mind.
  
  Religion has no spiritual bases and must be rejected as a platform for solving spiritual problem. Religion must also be rejected as a platform for solving worldly problem because in modern societies state govts have the responsibility and resources to deal with worldly problem. what a stupid idea to use state money for brainwashed idiots to go to mecca where the evil Islam started.
  
  yes i must admit religion has offered some worldly benefits such as creating music and dance, literature books they call holy though there's nothing holy in them , social support system and of course some honest service to humanity. But that do not make it spiritual or come from God. Traditional African religion is another primitive fake religion that keeps people stuck in inhuman living conditions through their lies and trickery.
  
  We must explore nature to benefit ourselves and stop believing in things that need us to exist . Black folks wake up !

  Thank you for showing so clearly how religion, based on nothing, has such a stranglehold on much of Africa. I live in the UK and despite the continuing decline of the Christian churches, there is a rise in Islam which offers only oppression and discord. When a British person, particularly a woman, chooses freely to reject a secular life and become religious, we humanists are saddened, but perhaps there is simply something material that can be gained, as you have described. Non-believers around the world need to be aware of this pernicious aspect of faith and do all we can to expose its vile nature.
