  This "Open Letter" to theIsraeli Ambassador is misplaced.
  
  If you have noticed from a soeech rhat the Israeli Ambassador is willing to help Ghana in its anti-galamsey campaign,it is for you to advise your Okyenhene that a window exists in relations with Israel, which he can utilise, if he is truly against galamsey, to go forward with any plan he has. Firstbhe must have a proposal,then go to the Israelis, who will advise him about whatb is possibe and what us nt.
  
  You can't sit down and like the typical Ghanaian, expect manna to rain down on your devastated land. You want Israel to come and create Kibbutz-style employment for you? ISRAEL ONLY RESPECTS PEOPLE WHO ARE WILLING TO HELP THEEMSELVES.
  
  So my advice to you is to get the Okyenhene to make the diplomatic contacts. But he cannot waste their time. So he must have practical and practicable proposals to hand. Then and only then can -- maybe -- something can happen.

  I agree with you that article is misplaced. There's nothing proposed in it we couldn't do for ourselves. Why are we always waiting for "whiteman" to solve our problems. Mentality of author is part of problem

  Neutralising the carbon footprint of Corporate Israel and the State of Israel in Ghana is a fantastic green CSR opportunity for them that Israel's reps here will sieze with both hands. For sure. Just wait and see.
  
  And don't be surprised either to see fleetfooted, creative younger generation Ghanaian entrepreneurs with Israeli links too exploring the idea.
  
  Let the negative types mock and insult all they want. It makes no difference to this old fogey.
  
  For some of us their views don't count. Ever.
  
  Finally, the question one should pose to those who sneer at the unusual and seldom see beyond their noses is: do we not all inhabit our one biosphere togethe as members of the one human race? What has race got to do with all this?
  
  To save the remainder of Ghana's natural capital from being wiped out by greedy and selfish people here we must perforce alert potential partners whenever the opportunity presents itself. Period.
  
  
  What matters is that a sustainability-enhancing green business opportunity for Israeli entities will bring wealth to fringe-forest communities and help preserve what is left of our fast-dwindling natural heritage.
  
  Naturally, the last thing those selfish and greedy individuals who profit mightily from the destruction of our natural capital want, is for such ideas to come into the public domain.
  
  So the mocking of such people is like water off a duck's back to a senile old fool like me, Massa.
  
  Thank God a leader like Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo finally came along in time to prevent a water-stressed future for our nation.
