  American politics coined the phrase "its the economy stupid" and its about time to coin the phrase "its the educated but ignorant stupid" in Ghana.
  All across Europe and North America nations enjoy a brand of democracy but they do not engage in exact democratic practices even though they are mostly of the same race/ethnicity. What separates multi parties in those democracies is ideology not race/ethnicity in each independent nation. Even Britain does not practice the American form of democracy; far from it. In Ghana we blindly chose a multi party system because some fools said so after being bought and sold like new slaves. But our politics and practices are stridently marred by ethnicity and the two majority political parties of NPP and NDC are marked by ethnic/tribal lines;h the Ashantis and Eastern folks running all of the NPP and all others in the NDC. This is not to say there are not a few around the margins who go across ethnic/tribal lines.
  Who are the educated but ignorant folks who think multi party system is democracy but a unitary system that allows people to vote their representatives to the legislative body who in turn select a president or prime minister is not democratic/democracy? We are sinking in Ghana because our educated talking heads are ignorant, dangerously naive or cunningly dangerous and selfish to the bone. The NPP and NDC have snookered us into thinking the musical chairs political game they are playing with us all is democracy when its not. It will take a person with the skills of Nkrumah, the pride of being a competent black man or woman from the African continent and unafraid of exposing a bunch of no good sorry excuses for an educated elite class to show Ghana that what we need to do to make Ghana great is to do away with the multi party system. The people in parliament are not there for party and or ethnicity/tribe but for mother Ghana. Until then the NPP-NDC scheme will eat at us slowly until we become slaves again for there will be no money left for the country to pay its debt to others. The NDC/NPP charade must come to an abrupt end.
