It's never true that Ashanti Region is only one group of people in that region, however, I totally in support of the creation of ahafo region in order to avoid under development in ahafo cities. The region has 8 municipalities and ahafo people have only one, so ur argument would still not bring any development in ahafo towns and cities

We must see ourselves as Ghanaians not Ahafo vrs Brongs. Tell your president to create Akyim Akuakwa region, Akyim Kotoku region and Akuapim region before ahafo region.

The AKANS are the real trokosi in Ghana they don't know.

  I really agree with this writer with his existential understanding of the problem of the creation of the Ahafo Region. It seems to me that the plans to create this region is not the original idea of Akuffo Addo but of Kuffour who had a 'vision' of reversing the creation of the Brong-Ahafo region by Kwame Nrumah in order to maintain that Ashanti hegemony in Ghana. The creation of this Ahafo region could make the NPP and Akuffo Addo unpopular which could torpedo the political future of the NPP. Living in cultural diversity is really good for Ghana rather than old tribal superiority mentality which could lead to disintegration of Ghana since after this creation other tribes will also agitate for creation of regions fior them. Akuffo Addo should tread cautiously in order not to endanger national cohesion and unity. I am a real "fanatic" of Akuffo Addo so the last thing I want is for him to make missteps that could spell a disaster for his administration.

Already Ahafo is a very big area in terms of population and size, and would not need any Brong town to join. We have suffered more than enough. And the very creation of the Ahafo region is the ultimate panacea

  Learn your history well. Berekum and Sunyani are not originally Abron (Bono/Brong) people. They are Asantes. However, I agree with you that creating Ahafo region is an affront to national integration.

It's true that the Sunyanihene family migrated from Amakom n that of Krontihene migrated from Akwamu.However,the Sunyanihene family migrated from Akwamu before settling at Amakom n when two families come together to fond a town,that town doesn't belong to only one family but rather belongs to both families for ur information Sunyani is never an Ashanti town.The same applies to Berekum has homogenous families.Some sections of Berekum migrated from Techiman,Adansi, Asokore and some from Akwamu even Adansis are not real Ashantis thty're Akyims if u don't know.How can five families from different backgrounds fond a town n call it Asante.If that is the case then many towns n cities in Ashanti Region today are not Ashantis. Because Kumawu,Asomenja,Agogo, Asafo, Adum n some sections of Batama n Barekesse trace their ancestry from Akwamufie. So in this modern Ghana are we going to call them Akwamus or Ashantis? Ask yourself why is Asofohene Akwamuhene to Asantehene? Do u fink all the towns n cities in Ashanti Region are pure Ashantis but today we call them Ashantis so if we call Berekum a Bono city it's right. Ask the origin of Obuasi if they're real Ashantis, Adansi n some sections of Atwima,Sekyere n some villages around Mampong Nsuta trace their ancestry from Techiman.Most of the Atwima n Obuasi people are Dekyiras n Dekyeras migrated from Techiman n Akwamus as well.Then if that will be the case we're going to call Fantes as Bonos because most of them trace their ancestry from Techiman eg Mankessim, Ogua, Anomabo all trace their ancestry from Techiman but why do we call them Fantes not Bonos. Micky with due respect I would like you to learn ur history into deep don't be ignorant. Note that many towns n cities today in Ashanti region were not Ashantis by their origins but we now call them Ashantis n you've covered that fact. Then we should call them by their origins.Why do u people always want to claim some Bono towns n cities as Ashantis? If u don't know go n read more about Adansis, Atwimas,Obuasi,Kumawus,Agogos,Asomenja,Asafo,Adum,Juabeng or Sekyeres n some sunctions of Batama n Barekese then u will see that real Ashantis are not many.If u people are trying to divide the Bonos u shoudn't fink that we don't know the history of today's Ashantis.
