There are many things to keep you ‘’alive’’ on such a trip apart from the entertainment that is provided in the plane. Read a novel, watch funny videos, chat with your seatmate or even have a good,relaxed sleep..." =====================================
If your flight is more than 7 hours, you would do well to take some precautions, at least for those prone to developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis).
Prolonged immobility, coupled with dehydration, could be a real menace to a few. Here are a few tips to help keep you alive LITERALLY:
- Take a low-dose aspirin
- Wear compression stockings
- Drink plenty of water during flight
- Walk a bit up and down the aisle every couple of hours
- have sufficient leg-room (the best advice).
Paying extra ($20-$90) for extended leg-room is really worth it, and certainly far cheaper than a funeral !
