  The Western world condemns and criminalizes so-called FGM, however defined. Yet it is considered "personal choice" for women in the Western world to do all sorts of things to their genitalia -- piercing/beading, labia pulling/elongation, labia reduction/trimming, vaginal tightening etc. Shame!
  What if FGM should be done safely by doctors in hospitals so that no health risks are posed -- that one too be crime, haba! When boys are safely circumcised in hospitals that is ok, but not girls. Tweaaa, some WHO.
