  You don't need any statistical data to prove the drastic decline of the practice of female circumcision in Ghana. For all the years since I was born, I have witnessed only one of such practice, and this happened to a daughter of one Mr. Akomphi and Madam Dede( a Grunshie-Krobo couple)in 1974. Eversince I have never witnessed a single case in all my stay in parts of the North, Eastern, Ashanti and in Grater Accra. I don't know what is going on in Volta where primitive Trokosi practice is still rife, the general case across the length and breath of Ghana is very encouraging; the practice is naturally dying out on its own. Our hope, and the good news, is that if John Mahama, the Ayarigas, the Bagbins and the arrogant rabble rousing Suhiyinis 'them-all' did escape the barbaric tribal face tattoo of a sort, then Ghana will surely be free of the female genital mutilation in no time as civilization is gradually catching up with us. There is no need to waste time and energy on a practice that pose a little or no threat to the nation when corruption and gallamsey is the major problem that is retarding our progress. Stop this needless noise making and write something to help Akufo's Ghana to succeed.

There are many who have no clue as to who she was was, not to mention what she did; yet the crude ruffians known for their rabble-rousing on Ghanaweb, as usual, saw nothing worth in your praising this gem of a woman and so can only resort to vile insults which, of course, you are heads above.
