A convergence between the RTS, PSA and HS as claimed by Dr Mohammed Amin Adam would only seek to establish a common point for the 3 participating options analysed in the said article. While a point system lower than the Profit Only analysis would not be adopted, it will be stupid to assume that one equal to, or higher than the Royalty + Profit Oil + Corporate Tax would be established.
That the later conforms to PNDC Law 84 makes it an obvious choice without the need for any convergence or whatever, Dr Adam.
Most of our Lawmakers are not able to do a critical analysis of issues and are not patriotic enough to refuse to be corrupted. Otherwise it is not rocket science to make a choice between 19% and 47-60%.
I think we are stuck (I am not a pessimist but a realist) because it was under this same NPP that the obnoxious oils contracts were signed. Let us not give up the fight.

A collection of seamstress in one room does not constitute a factory unless there is a recorded productivity level and measure that generate income and tax revenue to local, state and federal.
I can just envision gari factories across the landscape to be shipped to folks in America to Vladivostok because the world is dying for gari. Or chocolate factories across Brong-Ahafo and Ashanti regions oozing the sweet chocolate smell across Ghana while workers go back each work day to communities without indoor plumbing, running water and continued supply of electricity. You must live in 1860's America to wish the kind of folly that your party is selling Ghanaians.

If you do a little bit of research by writing my name in Google, you will see if have written a few articles archived in Modernghana.com and Ghanaweb in which i have advocated for the building of industrial parks in Ghana. I don't care which party is in power. It is disheartening to see Africans fleeing their countries in search of nonexistent jobs in Europe under perilous trips and dying on the sea. Please Google this article by NAM titled Securing Americas future-The case for a strong manufacturing base. If you are not aware, there are no factories in the USA the way it was 30 years ago. They lost it to China and there is a high rate of unemployment here. That is what Obama tried and Donald Trump is talking about. They are trying to bring back manufacturing.

Most Ghanaians, including children, know about the endemic corruption in the country but who really ever report a policeman for exhorting bribes on the barriers they set up? Take for instance, this campaign against the obnoxious oil contracts the scoundrels we have for leaders have been signing, in return for 1-5% shares for their front men and the few million £s and $s being dashed out to some state institutions, individuals, NGOs, media houses, etc., etc. But, how many Ghanaians have found it necessary to go and even sign the petition which was put up at Change.org? No wonder, foreigners shall continue to take us for a ride with impunity. If even ordinary Chinese can be engaging in galamsey, destroying cocoa farms, polluting water bodies with tacit protection from the criminals and scoundrels we have for misleaders, how much more Tullow,KOSMOS, WHICH HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THEIR GOVT?
