  The Ghana Premier League is stagnating because Ghanaians refuse to support it financially. Only Kotoko supporters go to the stadium to watch matches. On average, about 30,000 Kotoko supporters will travel to other towns to watch their team and when they go, the teams charge them double what they will charge for other matches. If there are 30,000 Kotoko supporters, there will be about 800 supporters from the home team e.g. if Kotoko is playing Bechem Chelsea, thousands of Kotoko supporters will travel to Bechem but only a few hundred Bechem supporters will go and watch the match.
  
  This means that 60% of every team's annual revenue comes from Kotoko supporters.
  
  As one of the football analysts said, depending on just one group of supporters to finance the whole league is not sustainable. What if the Kotoko supporters decide not to go anymore? The whole league will collapse.
  
  We must encourage people from other regions to go to the stadium of their local team and pay to watch them.
  
  Let's all support our teams financially and not leave it to only the guys in Kumasi.
