  What are vigilante groups trained and armed by political parties suppose to do? Engage in lawlessness and impunity in the name of the party with the belief that there will be no punishment. The president's failure to stamp his authority in the early days of his assumption of power - following rampages by vigilante loyalist of his party - emboldened many others.
