June 4 insurrection was a criminal act and God does not endorse criminality. It is interesting the writer refused to use the word 'revolution'. The architect of the coup has named it June 4 Revolution, but was it a revolution by any stretch of the imagination? What fundamental socioeconomic changes did the revolution achieve? Or was it a mere criminal act by disgruntled non commission officers?

We are old enough to know what revolutions look like; Mao Zedong China revolution transformed the hitherto impoverished China into a new industrial giant. The industrial revolution literally pushed the world into absolute mechanization; the American revolution, ditto; French revolution, ditto.

Arthur Kennedy was 100% right! Rawlings' arbitrary celebration of June 4 Revolution is an insult to our collective conscience and we should under no circumstances allow such criminality to be celebrated.

Guns went to wrong hands, people started to sing only praise songs to those in authority.So many evil that we have in our society can be traced to 4th June and 31 Dec military adventurism.
I never heard of Jerry himself picking up a gun but people did it at his behest. He did not kill but who signed the death sentences? Tribes were pitched against each other, others were just used. Who were Jiwa, Akatapore among others? They were Northners who were used for others to enjoy. Let the writer of the article know that some of us were not young and know some things that went on. We lived in a culture of fear and insecurity at that time. Some people were even executed for taking bank loans for projects. Up till now, where is BB Bismarch of Aburi who was abducted at night during that time.
I do not blame the writer of the article because he is apolitical sycophant of Rawlings' coups.

But God cannot be like Them! The plot which would later backfire in their wicked razor-blade tribal-cut identified faces. Nuff thx to civilization.

These gullible sycophants who followed the June 4th Movement like lobotomies were made to believe that the bloody stinky Movement was nationalistic in nature, little do they know that their Trokosi leader( call him Junior Judas, Devil's Incarnate if you want; all descriptions perfectly fit him) had ulterior motive of establishing Trokosi hegemony in Ghana.

This evil plot rear its ugly face when Serial Coupist, Rawlings, staged a senseless coup which toppled a young democratic government under the Leadership of Hilla Limann of blessed memory in December, 1981.

The senseless killings and the open victimization of industrious Akans would then begin. Three High Court Judges(All AKans) who sentenced Rawlings to death for leading an abortive coup in May 1979 were abducted from their homes, killed or burned alive.

It must also be recalled that this same buffoon, and equally disgusting backers, who want the killers of Major Mahama's killers to be sent to the gallows did assemble some former head of states in June 1979: Okatakyies Afrifa, Kutu Acheampong, Akofu, all Akans, were sent to the Teshie firing range and summarily executed in a military style. In fact these injustices were administered in fulfilment of the Trokosi Dream, thus to get hold onto power in perpetuity.

Of course there were other casualties. In other to hide the main agenda of the ethnocentric cleansing that would pave way for their course, Rawlings and his apparachiks criminally selected some Atinga-Trokosi Army Generals, and some Police Officers, shot them alongside the 3-Akan former Head of states so as to confuse the people of their evil machinations.

And instead of burying their faces in shame and apologize to Ghanaians for causing indelible wounds in the hearts of many we have these dummies, invented by the June 4th, hopping around the country annually to stupidly demonstrate their insensitivity to the plight of Ghanaians, especially to those who lost their loved ones in those days.
