I continue to repeat Ghanaians fear soldiers and tend to temperate their behavior when soldiers are at the helm of affairs.

In Ashaiman, those times, there were so many armed robbers that you couldn't move at dawn on in the night. If one of those muslim guys got hold of you and you didn't have money, you would either go naked because your clothes would be seized or razor blade would be used to draw line on your every part of your skin for not carrying money.
One day, JJR decided to take a tour of Ashaiman. When he was expected somewhere, he appeared from somewhere else on foot! Thereon, he found a table, mounted it, and began a rhetoric that was history. He sternly warned and voiced out against bad behavior and said he was ready to "bomb" the city and would not care and that if ONLY Ashaiman were eliminated nothing would happen.

Years after that historic speech, Ashaiman became very calm!

Military rule for a country is odd, but in Ghana, I will take it over the stupid democracy of thuggery and imbecility we have actually for years and counting. Ghana is never going to be a good country because of individual selfishness and excessive greed.

If you were also not born at that time, then I have to tell you that he came to save us from hell. For example, in 1979, I bought a mattress at the cost of 108 old cedis. When my friend saw it, he expressed interest to but one. I took him to the same shop at Makola Market in Accra on the same day that I bought mine, and the price had changed from 108 old cedis to 150 old cedis. That was Ghana at that time. Makola women passed urine and kept them under their sale tables. If a soldier or policeman argued with them over the high cost of a particular item they wanted to purchase, these women poured out the urine onto them. Nurses, teachers, and other government workers in their uniforms could not even bargain the cost of any item that they wanted to buy. These Makola Market women would just not mind them because according to them, government workers were too poor to buy their wares. My brother or sister, we went through hell so it was Rawlings who came to save us. He was our savior. However, his only side that I disagree with him is when he could not stop his revengeful boys from the executions that they made as a way of solving their individual grievances with those they executed.

You remember the killing of the previous 7 heads of states example, Kutu Acheampong with the pretext of probity and accountability. Scared of probity, every asset you own now is portrayed as gift from someone. Growing up, Ghana was so a peaceful country until Rawlings came into power, women were been killed randomly because he Rawlings started killing people in authority,all the factories in Ghana quietly vanished during the time of Rawlings. I remember anytime Accra flooded Rawlings showed up in military uniform on inspection and then that was the end. The present predicaments in the country is as the result of Rawlings 20 plus years rule in Ghana.The lawlessness, deviant, killings and violence behavior in the country was a foundation the NDC laid so it has come to stay and people are continuing.To cover up his loot,he says every asset he has is a gift, is he the only retired president so good enough to be gifted all the time?.When is this lies and pretense going to stop.I wish the NDC is abolished because it is good for nothing party, they changed the constitution to protect themselves, its only in Ghana that such things can happen. God help us.His bad influence will linger on forever.

Ghana is hi-jacked by the army, which is responsible for our lack of progress, they only serve foreign interest(7 military coups) in which many prominent men and women lost their lives. They have done horrible things in this country(beatings, do before complaint, killings, looting, abuse of citizens especially young girls etc. The sad thing is that all the leaders are afraid to talk about it and make changes because W Africa does not need army if they would work together.
