  The 1992 constitution was crafted to give altimate power to John Jato Rawlings. The man who sank this country into deep sinkhole. I agree with the writer. Even though Kuffour is the best leader in this 4th republic, his silence on this bogus part of the constitution was troubling.

  If the president of the republic does not pay taxes, simply put, why should the average citizen? There is absolutely no justification for the average citizen to pay taxes if the president does not.
  
  This is especially considering the fact that Ghana's tax laws are largely hinged to the SILLY usurious pursuits of CLUELESS politicians who refuse to inspire their people to build a creative economy.
  
  As the politicians borrow from foreigners, they pass the debt burden on to citizens in the form of taxes. Then they evade paying taxes? Hmmm, Ghanaians need an all out tax revolt to send a strong message to its UNJUST politicians.

  For as much as the president doesn't pay taxes per a provision in our constitution, I'll wish the current president master enough courage to amend that potion of our laws for the sake of equity,natural justice, equality and fairness. Not only this but also I think Ghanaian politicians earn too much emoluments to the detriment of the Ghanaian populace at large. In a country where majority of the people earn below 1,000 GHS, I don't see y politicians who are supposed to serve the people earn astronomical salaries. In fact there are people in this country earning less than 100ghs a month, so where lies our sense of humor as a nation.
