  Your write up begs for answers and doubts. I may share in your concern about the fight against galamsey, which we are doubtful about its success due to this leverage facility. The govt of China is not interested in illegal businesses. Our laws on environmental protection will be enforced, seeing other countries that have been affected. It is up to our govt to be resolute and this I trust Nana. Our untapped iron ore and bauxite will be the focus. Let us be optimistic of a win-win deal

  There is not a single country in this world, not the USA, not Russia, not in Europe and no where can anyone cite data/statistics that point to net or gross benefit of investment for citizenship swap policy. Lets talk about Ghana shall we. Galamsey has been on the rise and Ghana agencies overwhelmed by the environmental damage and crime since our adoption of a policy where rich folks gain Ghanaian citizenship or permanent residence if they invested some meager amount in Ghana's economy.
  If we are to believe the propaganda nonsense the NPP has fed us since its birth from the UP/matemeho terror group that communism was bad for the soul then how did individual Chinese get to be rich to afford the $100,000 investment amounts in Ghana? The point here is that NPP folks are stupid and the party has a tendency to recruit morons for party membership. Since the days of the CPP we have heard from the Busia-Danquah ideologues that communism restrict development and property seeking abilities of individuals; drivers that led to the overthrow of Nkrumah. If that narrative about communism was true then should we not conclude in Ghana that all those individual Chinese investments come via the Chinese government? And as the Chinese citizens arrive on our shores with all the rights of citizens in hand Ghana has seen a rise in nominal equipment for sale and for use in galamsey activities. Ghanaians engaged in galamsey are no longer doing things the old ways but through acquisition of tools and equipment that are coming to our shore care of these Chinese migrants. So you see the Chinese government which never gave a damn about its people, if we are to believe the NPP narrative of old or new about communism, has its eyes on Ghana not because they gave a damn about the college educated duo of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia but because we have what China want and in their calculus they know how ignorant and corrupt our educated elite are and will sell their sould for a cheap nickel. China is willing to take advantage of poor souls in Ghana who have put their trust in a pair of thieves running around spewing propaganda speeches while they destroy individual liberties for civil servants.

  Good to sound these warnings but the fact still stands that something has to give, willy-nilly, to have access to the funding required to accelerate the growth of the Ghanaian economy.
