  The Delta and the Invisible Forces were form for the good purpose of it, thus to checkmate: the NDC Yaw Boateng trined Ballotbox Snatchers, the Togolese-Trokosi crossborder voters, and also to counter the bullying and the arm-twisting antic/tactics of the NDC sponsored high-savanna dwelling Sofo Azoka Boys to rig elections. And things work perfectly for the NPP, especially as Peter Amewu led his boys to prevent cheating in Trokosiland during the last general elections.
  
  What we don't agree is the manifest lawlessness that 'some' members of the, however, well intentioned gallant and unarmed NPP vigilante forces are engaging in of late.
  
  If readers do not have short memories we could recall that it was fuhrer Kwame Nkrumah who started vigilantism in Ghana when he formed the Action Troopers, a para-military force, which terrorized his opponents for the entire stretch of his Ghana one-party State autocratic rule that saw many patriotic citizens perished in jail under the inhumane and infamous Preventive Detention Act.
  
  Again dictator Nkrumah was the one who formed the Young Pioneer - the dreadful youthful group that had the semblance of the American CIA or the KGB of Russia. The innocent Ghanaian youth was train by Nkrumah to conduct espionage on unsuspecting citizens both in their homes and bedrooms. In fact these young boys were indoctrinated to become so dreadful that they were even reporting the bedroom conversations of their parents to fuhrer Nkrumah.
  
  And as if Ghanaians did not have enough of the brutalities of Nkrumah, the resurrection and insurgence of his own incarnate, in the person of the neglected founder of the NDC, the barking dog who has been tamed by Asiedu Nketia and the disrespectful Babies with sharp teeth, came to raise the bar of dictatorship to the ceiling.
  
  The People's Militia, the CDR, CDO, the Commando and a host of vigilante groups were regularized by Rawlings and his apparatchiks - of which this Spio dude was a prominent and active member - to terrorize Ghanaians for near two decades of no accountability under his totalitarian rule.
  
  So it beggars the questions as to where is the credibility and the moral turpitude of Spio to talk about vigilantism when he himself had been a champion student and a tutor of same? Somebody tell him to zip it, be quiet, and not be silly.

Matameho and the others meted out violence which those of us who were alive then can say we have not seen anything equal to it yet. So my friend K. Badu what the delta force are doing is simply revisiting what their elders did. Can you imagine that barely one year after independence RR Amponsa, Akpalu and others planned to assisinate him on his return from London at the airport? But for the vigilance of the security agencies then in the hands of the British the worse could have happened. Of course Spio Garbrah was selective in his speech but that does not take away the violence we saw during Nkrumah's time. Bombs were being thrown to kill innocent people because of politics.

Citizens must feel safe and National security must always be paramount in every country and I strongly believe that because the rights and safety of all citizens must not be traded for lawless and violent Nation wreckers and are deplore Rawlings for his part during PNDC era ND now Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's period of government. But K. Badu you cannot hoodwink Ghanaians, especially, those who of us who saw and can remember it all that Political violence for selfish ends started from PNDC otherwise, your article has no content validity or reliability. Just to mark your article and perhaps give you 'free education' you must check your references to both pre and post Ghana independent era then you'll realise that the ancestor of now NPP, known in the Ghanaian political history as 'MA TE ME HO' (UP- United Party)were the violent and caused atrocious mayhem including, killings in all forms. You remember ' we will make the country ungovernable' by Nna Bafour Akoto? Thank PDA-(Preventive Detection Act 1958. You see America, UK, French, Germany and other nations are now using more than PDA equivalent to protect their citizens and prevent their National security against the unwarranted violent actions by some of these Islamic movements eg ISIS. I stand is that all these militia or secrete para-military groups should not be used by any leader for their selfish agenda but to deplore the National security agencies to take over the protection of all citizens and the national security. I am sorry, you did not appear a good arbitrator(referee) in your essay. You appeared somehow partisan! This forum is to inform and for educate and views must be objective without fear or foe but please you cannot re-write history neither you can you supress history or being economically, with the truth!
