There's no doubt Ghanaians in the Diaspora have a crucial role to play in the nation's development. Government must engage diasporans through programs that realize their expertise and skills and seek to capture these for national development.

However, the view that diasporans have guge financial resourcs alone and that Ghanaians at home only need diasporans for their money mut be shed.

The knowledge and skills diasporans bring far exceed any funds.
