Ghana’s U-17 captain, Eric Ayiah is hopeful to wear the Black Stars captain’s band in the near future.
The Black Starlets skipper led Ghana to a second place finish at the Under U-17 AFCON in Gabon and made a quarterfinal finish in the Youth World Cup in India last month.
Ayiah came under a barrage of criticism for his dip in performance at the just ended World Cup in India but believes these negative comments propel him on.
“These criticisms motivates me a lot especially the bad ones. I just want my fans to pray for me so I can progress with my captain’s band to the U-20 and even to the Black Stars,” he told Starr Sports.
The former Charity Stars player was honoured with a ceremonial match on Wednesday by his manager for his leadership role at the two youth tournaments.
