The event was supported by safety communication consultant CEO Eric Apedo, who offered his expertise along with health professionals from various hospitals, including midwives. T
hey were joined by colleagues who provided critical services throughout the day.
During the event and screening, attendees were educated on the importance of regular breast self-examinations and early detection of breast cancer by Daniele Nicol.
Nicol stated that both men and women should prioritize self-exams, as early detection can significantly improve treatment outcomes.
Participants were also directed to local facilities offering mammogram services, with information provided on the procedure's cost.
It was recommended that individuals aged 45 and above should have a mammogram at least once a year.
The event attracted about 50 participants, including non-members like Madam Debrah Ampenebea, who placed third in the table tennis competition.
She expressed her appreciation for the initiative and praised the organizers for their efforts, particularly highlighting the health talks and screenings.
This health screening exercise not only promoted health awareness but also showcased the ongoing partnership between Safety Communication Network and the Clinic, all working together to improve the well-being of the community.
