Chirano mines donates drugs to two health centres

Chirano (W/R), March 24, GNA - The management of Chirano Gold Mine in the Western Region has presented drugs worth over GH¢3,620 to two health centres within its catchments area. The beneficiary health centres are at Chirano and Paboase. The drugs included Ciprofloxacin infusion, folic acid, spirulina food supplements, Librium capsules, analgin injection and piriton tablets.

Mr Eric Darko, Community and Public Relations Manager of the Chirano Gold Mine, said apart from the fact that the donations formed part of the company's social responsibility, most of their workers who stayed in those areas also received medical treatment at the centres. He pledged the company's continued support to the health centres.

Mr Fred Addison, Medical Assistant at the Chirano Health Centre who received the items, thanked the company and appealed to other organizations to support the centres.
