FDA steps up campaign for safe blood supply

Shortage of blood at the blood banks has been a recurrent issue in the country's health delivery system.

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), has therefore decided to support blood preparations, storage and distribution.

At a blood donation exercise organised by the FDA, the Chief Executive, Hudu Mogtari said it is the duty of the authority to ensure good quality, safe, readily accessible and adequate blood for transfusion.
