Mr Derick Daniel Adjei, a Health Advocate at the Emmarever Company in Accra, has advised Ghanaians against eating heavy food late in the night to avoid facing health challenges.

According to him “Fufu” for instance, takes about seven hours to digest so taking it late in the nigh cannot ensure proper digestion.

He was delivering a lecture on promoting good health care during mass at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church at Apam.

Mr Adjei urged people to consume more of the natural spices found in foods such as dandelion, ginger, moringa, “dawadawa” and “Prekese”.

He said increased reporting of cardio vascular diseases at the health facilities is because of the high consumption of Carbohydrate foods.

The mass service was celebrated by Rev. Father James Akpenyi, the Parish Priest.
