Koforidua, Nov. 9, GNA - The Director of the Koforidua Regional Hospital, Dr Obeng Apori, has advised national service persons to respect their workplace colleagues in order to also enjoy good relations from others.
Addressing an orientation workshop for 22 national service persons posted to the Regional Hospital at Koforidua on Wednesday, Dr Apori urged them to develop a keen desire to learn at their various posts during the service period.
The 22 service persons, who had graduated from the universities and polytechnics, were expected to serve at the hospital for 10 months. The Human Resource Manager of the Eastern Regional Secretariat of the Ghana Health Service, Mr Samuel Akotua, reminded them that their ability to face little challenges confronting them would give them the confidence to cross higher hurdles in future.
He said the Ghana Health Service was more interested in talents and innovation that they would be applying to help improve services at the hospital and other areas.
The Human Resource Manager of the hospital, Mr Abraham Awuah, reminded the personnel that once they agreed to work with the GHS, no matter their qualification and specialty, they must go by its rules and ethics.
For example, he said, patients are entitled to confidentiality regarding their personal files and diagnosis and that such information could not be disclosed to a third party without the consent of the patient. .
