A specialist surgeon at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital has lamented bitterly about conditions affecting productivity at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital, revealing that it has only 4 beds.

Dr. Hadi Mohammed Abdallah, on The Late Afternoon Show on GhOne TV on Monday, disclosed the reasons why brain tumour patients have had to remain on the theatre waiting list for over a year, attributing it the unit’s inability to cater for the thousands of patients that require attention, adding that it currently has only 4 beds and lacks adequate equipment to handle the number of patients from the West African sub region that come to seek medical attention.

He further reiterated the expertise and dedication of Ghanaian doctors in the management of these diseases, admonishing citizens to have faith in them, whiles holding government officials accountable.
